LARKI, an Australian PropTech firm that offers 3D laser scans and city models for architects, has secured a significant investment from a leading private equity firm in the country, Nightingale Partners. The AUD$1.4M funding will provide LARKI with a solid financial foundation to expand its innovative platform and 3D data to architects and the wider property industry. The company plans to service major metros on the east coast of Australia and lay the groundwork for international expansion.
According to Simon Cookes, CEO and co-founder of the four-year-old business, the backing from Nightingale Partners has come at an opportune time, as it will enable LARKI to push ahead with its plans to establish itself as a leading provider of high-resolution 3D city models online, not only in Australia but all over the world.
Lindsay Phillips, Chairman and Managing Director at Nightingale Partners and lead investor, expressed enthusiasm for LARKI’s cloud-based information platform for architects, which promises to make design and approval processes faster and easier. Phillips was impressed by the co-founders’ experience and their excellent blend of qualities.
