The Proptech Association Australia President, Kylie Davis, announced that there will be a total of 33 awards this year, spanning across three categories: startups, scale-ups, and established suppliers. In addition, there will be seven new awards, including Data, Analytics, Insights & AI specialization for proptechs, Commercial Proptech of the Year, Residential Proptech of the Year, Corporate Proptech of the Year, and VC & Accelerator Program of the Year.
The entries for the awards will close on Tuesday, May 9.
The judging panel for the upcoming competition comprises more than 40 individuals. The finalists who make it through the selection process will be announced in early June, with the winners being revealed on July 19 at a gala dinner held at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney.
According to Davis, last year’s event was completely sold out, attracting 330 attendees. This year, the venue has been expanded to accommodate over 500 guests. As the premier event for Australian proptech, the occasion promises to showcase remarkable innovations across the entire real estate value chain while celebrating success stories.
At the 2022 awards ceremony, PropHero was honored as the Startup Proptech of the Year. The AI-enabled digital platform facilitates property investment by assisting investors in identifying, purchasing, and managing investment properties.
According to Davis, companies will be evaluated against their peers based on their company size, resources, and innovation maturity for the awards in eight industry verticals, comprising a total of 24 individual awards. These verticals include Efficiency & Optimisation, Sales & Marketing, Property & Facilities Management, Ownership, Affordability & Finance, Consumer Proptech, Design, Build & Development, Environment Social & Sustainability (previously Smart Buildings & Cities), and Data, Analytics, Insights & AI.
Additionally, there are four open awards that will be given out: Corporate Proptech of the Year, Proptech Leader of the Year, VC & Accelerator Program of the Year, and Proptech to Watch.
This year, there will be five “Best of the Best” awards, which will be judged from the winners and finalists of all entrants. These include Startup Proptech of the Year, Scale-up Proptech of the Year, Established Supplier Proptech of the Year, Commercial Proptech of the Year, and Residential Proptech of the Year.
Only members and associates of the Association are eligible to participate in the awards, and entries are free and unlimited, as long as multiple entries are distinct. The Association is also accepting expressions of interest for award sponsors and event partners.
