The National Association of Realtors’ strategic investment arm, Second Century Ventures, has announced the eight organizations selected for the 2018 REach® Class, a growth technology accelerator program designed to launch companies into the real estate, financial services, banking, home services, and insurance industries. The program provides early-to-mid-stage companies access to NAR’s industry expertise, influence, and key relationships as they enter the trillion-dollar real estate market. The program’s vertical focus within real estate and related industries and the growth stage at which most companies enter the program make it stand out from other accelerators. NAR CEO Bob Goldberg said the aim was to stay ahead of business and technology solutions in real estate by actively partnering and investing in outside technology companies through Second Century Ventures and REach investments.
The 2018 REach class has selected the following companies:
- Active Pipe: Provides an email marketing automation platform specifically designed for the real estate industry.
- BoxBrownie.com: Offers high-quality photo editing, virtual staging, floor plan redraws, and computer-generated imagery (CGI) renders at competitive prices.
- CurbCall: Offers a mobile, on-demand lead routing technology that enables agents to connect instantly and securely with potential customers.
- Glide: Provides professional, full-service transaction coordination supported by modern technology, which enhances compliance, saves time, and significantly improves client service.
- Hurdlr: Helps agents achieve their income goals by offering automated tracking and proactive guidance, similar to a Fitbit for agents’ financial performance.
- RealKey: Offers a browser-based transaction management system that streamlines home buying and mortgage processes by automating communication, updates, information, and documentation collection.
- Quigler: Provides consumers with process transparency, accountability, and instantaneous communication through a compliance checklist in an agent app.
- zavvie: Offers a turn-key hyperlocal marketing system designed to generate listings and increase commissions for agents, teams, and brokerages.
Notarize co-founder and chief operating officer Adam Pase expressed his satisfaction with the value his company received from participating in the REach program, stating that the industry exposure and mentorship from experienced practitioners greatly benefited Notarize and helped them form lasting partnerships to grow their business.
The eight organizations selected for the REach program can expect significant results, as past classes have on average doubled their customer base and collectively raised over $200 million in financing after program acceptance.
