View.com.au has recently made its debut, promising a groundbreaking approach to the property market by offering a host of powerful features. Designed to empower agents and enhance connectivity in the competitive real estate landscape, the platform is set to redefine the property-search experience for buyers and sellers alike.
Antony Catalano, co-owner and Executive Chairman of View Media Group and ACM, is a seasoned property expert with a background as the former CEO of Domain. Recognizing a gap in the property search process, Catalano identified the challenge of finding suitable homes within the limited pool of currently listed properties among the 11 million homes in Australia.
“Personally, I’ve resorted to knocking on doors to source properties I want to buy that aren’t on the market,” Catalano revealed, highlighting the need for a more comprehensive and accessible property search solution.
Launched on September 30, view.com.au aims to eliminate the need for door-knocking by providing users with access to the entire Australian property market. By doing so, View.com.au aims to stimulate the real estate market by unveiling opportunities that benefit both agents and prospective buyers.
One notable feature, “I Love This Property,” enables property-seekers to express interest in unlisted properties, fostering connections between potential buyers and agents and generating qualified interest in properties not currently for sale.
Catalano draws parallels between View.com.au’s transformative approach and Uber’s impact on the transportation industry. He envisions View.com.au as a game-changer, providing a view of all 11 million properties in Australia, not just the limited fraction currently on the market.
Unlike traditional property portals that focus primarily on listing revenue, View.com.au aspires to be a comprehensive one-stop shop for all aspects of property buying. The platform aims to cover the entire property cycle, including mortgage services, insurance, and connections, positioning itself as a $300 billion category in the market.
Catalano emphasizes that View.com.au recognizes the complexity of the property-buying journey, extending beyond the transaction itself. The platform aims to be a real estate superstore, consolidating all property-related transactions in one convenient location.
Launched by Catalano and co-owner Alex Waislitz last year, View Media Group has attracted investments from major players in the media and financial sectors. The group also holds significant stakes in the utility connections platform Beevo and is the largest shareholder in the data and AI business Propic.
