Suvidh Arora, previously the CEO and co-founder of Melbourne-based brokerage Cinch Loans, has assumed the role of Australian CEO at PropHero, a proptech company. Starting his new position on December 11, Arora takes over from Sophie Hayek, who stepped down due to personal reasons. Hayek, however, will remain associated with the company in 2024, taking on the role of brand ambassador.
PropHero, co-founded by Mickael Roger and Pablo Gil Brusola, focuses on assisting investors in acquiring residential properties. Since its 2021 launch in Australia, the company has been establishing broker partnerships and recently collaborated with Cinch Loans, its original broker partner, for its latest property portfolio app.
The co-founders expressed enthusiasm for Arora joining the leadership team, with Roger highlighting the anticipation of continued rapid growth and Brusola emphasizing Arora’s leadership qualities in maintaining a positive company culture during scaling.
In an interview with The Adviser, Hayek spoke about her tenure leading PropHero Australia, expressing pride in the collective success marked by substantial growth, industry recognition, and high customer satisfaction. She voiced confidence in Arora’s ability to lead and unlock new opportunities.
Arora, acknowledging Hayek’s significant contributions, emphasized maintaining a close relationship with her in her new role as brand ambassador. Reflecting on his move to proptech, Arora expressed admiration for PropHero’s growth since its inception and conveyed his pleasure in leading the next phase of its expansion.
As CEO, Arora outlined his initial priorities, including establishing large-scale integrations with broker CRMs and fostering aggregator and brokerage partnerships to enhance offerings for broker clients across Australia. He highlighted the unique proposition of buying properties not only in Australia but also in Spain and Bali, with plans for more countries launching next year, aiming for substantial synergies between broker businesses and PropHero.
