The Proptech Association Australia has recently unveiled the finalists for the 2023 Proptech Awards, which stand as the sole nationally coordinated accolades for Australia’s thriving property technology sector.
Kylie Davis, the Founder and President of Proptech Association Australia, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We have received a total of 153 entries, representing a notable 23% increase from last year. Today, we proudly announce the finalists for 26 awards.” Davis further added, “During our awards ceremony in Sydney on Wednesday, July 19th, we will also reveal the five additional ‘best of the best’ winners.”
Ms. Davis continued, emphasizing the significance of celebrating Australia’s proptech ecosystem and showcasing the remarkable innovations within the real estate value chain. She remarked, “This year, we have expanded on the triumph of our previous national awards held in 2021 and 2022 by introducing a new category dedicated to proptechs at the forefront of data and analytics, as well as an award recognizing corporate innovation.”
The judging process involved a panel of over 50 experts with diverse backgrounds in property, finance, law, academia, sales and marketing, technology, sustainability, inclusion, innovation, and venture capital.
Expressing gratitude, Ms. Davis said, “I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the participants, judges, and sponsors.”
The winners of the prestigious awards will be unveiled during the gala awards dinner taking place on Wednesday, July 19th, at The Fullerton Hotel in Sydney. Those interested can secure their tickets through Eventbrite.
Ashurst Lawyers serves as the primary sponsor for the Proptech Awards, with other sponsors including Ezypay, Green2View, HID Global, Monoova, MRI Software, PropTrack, and Upplft.

To streamline the scoring process, the awards have been divided into three categories, reflecting different stages of business growth: Established Suppliers, Scaleups, and Startups. These categories cover a wide range of industry segments.

The judging panel was faced with the challenging task of selecting the short-listed finalists based on predetermined criteria while also evaluating the nominees for the “Proptech Leader of the Year” and “Corporate Proptech of the Year” awards.
During the announcement ceremony, winners will be revealed for the respective categories, including a “Proptech of the Year” for each category, chosen from the individual award recipients. Additionally, there will be overall winners for the “Best Residential” and “Best Commercial” proptech, determined from the winners and highly ranked finalists across all segments. Apart from the scored awards, the Proptech Association Australia will present a special prize of one year’s complimentary membership to the notable “Proptech to Watch” for 2023.
